Socks are a great project when you are looking for something small to knit. One skein of sock yarn and some double points or circular needles and you are good to go! Do you ever have a hard time picking out what yarn to use? Here are four of my favorites:
Hikoo CoBaSi:
Did you even know that CoBaSi was made to be a sock yarn? This wool free blend is perfect to knit socks for summer wear. This yarn has an amazing amount of stretch that is just what you want for sock knitting.
Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball:
Zauberballs are a classic for making socks. The blend of wool and nylon makes some fabulous socks. I used a Zauberball to make the first pair of socks I ever knit and I still wear them!
Malabrigo Sock:
I am a huge fan of the colors that Malabrigo is known for. Their sock weight yarn would be a fantastic superwash merino option for your sock knitting needs.
Araucania Huasco:
Araucania Huasco comes in both semisolid and variegated colors. How fun would it be to partner a semisolid for the heel and toe with a variegated yarn for the body? You would even have enough yarn left to make another pair the opposite way!
